The journey begins from Rishikesh and follows the scenic Alaknanda River through the Garhwal Himalayas. Travelers pass through famous Himalayan towns and sacred river confluences before reaching Joshimath and Govindghat.
The trek officially starts from Pulna village and continues towards Ghangaria, the base camp for both Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib. The Trek follows the Pushpawati River and passes through forests, waterfalls, suspension bridges, and mountain valleys.
What makes this trek truly unique is the constantly changing scenery. One moment we are walking through mist-covered forests, and the next we enter vast meadows filled with blooming flowers surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks.
The Valley of Flowers is home to hundreds of flower species including blue poppies, orchids, primulas, daisies, cobra lilies, and marigolds. The region also supports rare wildlife such as Himalayan black bears, musk deer, and snow leopards, although sightings are uncommon.
Another major highlight is the spiritual trek to Hemkund Sahib. The steep Trek leads to a peaceful glacial lake surrounded by seven snow-covered peaks. The calm atmosphere and spiritual energy make it one of the most memorable experiences of the trek.

Day-by-Day Journey Through Uttarakhand’s Blooming Himalayan Trails
The journey begins early in the morning from Rishikesh as we head towards the Garhwal Himalayas.
The route follows the Alaknanda River and We will passes through the famous Panch Prayag—the sacred confluences of rivers including Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, Nandaprayag, and Vishnuprayag.
The drive offers stunning views of mountain valleys, waterfalls, forests, and riverside towns. As we move deeper into Uttarakhand, the landscapes become increasingly scenic and peaceful.
By evening, we reach Joshimath or Pandukeshwar and check into our accommodation.
Dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, we will drive to Pulna village, the starting point of the trek.
The trek to Ghangaria follows a well-maintained Trek along the Pushpawati River. The route passes through waterfalls, bridges, and lush green forests.
The gradual ascent makes the trek suitable for beginners. Along the Trek, we can witness beautiful Himalayan scenery and small resting points.
After several hours of trekking, we will reach Ghangaria, a small Himalayan settlement that serves as the base camp for both Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib.
Dinner and overnight stay in Ghangaria.
This is the most beautiful and awaited day of the trek.
After breakfast, we enter the Valley of Flowers National Park. As we move deeper into the valley, the landscape transforms into colorful meadows filled with blooming flowers.
The valley is surrounded by snow-covered mountains, waterfalls, and streams, creating a magical environment.
we can witness a variety of Himalayan flowers such as blue poppies, primulas, orchids, daisies, and cobra lilies. The valley changes color every few weeks depending on the blooming cycle.

The day begins early as the trek to Hemkund Sahib is steep and physically demanding.
The Trek ascends continuously through rocky mountain paths and alpine vegetation. As we gain altitude, the views become more dramatic.
Upon reaching Hemkund Sahib, we are welcomed by a pristine glacial lake surrounded by snow-covered peaks.
The Gurudwara located beside the lake is considered one of the highest Sikh pilgrimage sites in the world. The calm atmosphere and spiritual energy make this experience deeply memorable.
After spending some time at the lake and Gurudwara, descend back to Ghangaria.

After breakfast, We begin our descent from Ghangaria to Pulna.
The downhill trek is relatively easy and allows we to enjoy the surrounding landscapes at a relaxed pace.
Upon reaching Pulna, We board our vehicle and drive towards Joshimath or Pandukeshwar.
After completing the trekking portion of the journey, we check into our hotel and relax for the evening.

After breakfast, we begin our scenic drive back to Rishikesh.
The return journey once again passes through scenic mountain roads and sacred river confluences.
By evening, we will reach Rishikesh, marking the end of the Valley of Flowers Trek with unforgettable Himalayan memories.
