Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Shimla to Janglik  (the most scenic route in the Himalayas)

Janglik serves as the starting point for the Buran Ghati trek. You’ll have to travel from Shimla to Rohru, which is a lovely ride. You’ll pass through picturesque villages with a distinct Himachal culture that will capture your attention right away. You’ll pass through woods of Oak and Pine trees with sharp edges that appear artistic along the way. We’ll stop for lunch on the way to Dude. The journey to Tonglu will take around two hours, as the motorable road near Tikri becomes a dirt road for the remainder of the journey.

Day 2: Janglik to Dayara Thatch

Before leaving, breakfast and tea will be offered. Today’s stroll will take you by finely designed wheat fields set in front of wooden farmhouses, making it one of the most gorgeous. The creative wooden cottages with their lovely roofs are enticing and sure to catch your eye. You’ll be able to see the entire vista of Diude, Tonglu, and other little communities after an hour of climbing. After about an hour of descending out of the tree line, you will be greeted with the relaxing trees of Pine and Oak, which are much thicker and denser than the previous ones.

Day 3: Dayara Thatch to Litham

After enjoying your breakfast and hot tea at your campground, you will begin your day exploring the Dayara meadows. You can go for a walk just to enjoy the freshness of the morning air. The first rays of sunshine add an artistic touch to the meadows. From Dayara to Litham, the trail passes through lush woodland, verdant meadows, and gushing streams. There are streams throughout the trail where you can refill your water bottles. The Dhauladhars’ snow-capped mountains may be seen before arriving at the Dayara campground. You’ll come across the Bhoj forest, which has a lovely environment. A clear view of Litham may be seen from this vantage point.

Day 04– Acclimatization day, visit Chandranahan Lake

We’ll start early because there’s a steep hill and descent today. After breakfast, we’ll go for an acclimatization walk around Chandranahan Lake before returning to the Litham campground. It’ll be an exciting and rewarding stroll with plenty of opportunities to take pictures along the way. We’ll keep heading upstream to the point where the waterfall emerges. In June, you can expect a significant amount of snowfall. As you approach the lake, you’ll notice that it’s a little smaller and is fed by the surrounding snowfields.

Day 05- Litham to Dhunda

To get to Dhunda, which is at an elevation of 13,300 feet, you’ll have to trek for 2 hours. The Dhauladhar range, which looms above the trail, will be seen, with Gunas Pass perched atop the icy sides of the grey mountains. It consists of a mix of grey and white mountains, with the Litham grassland on the left and the Rupin Valley on the right. It has a steep slope that provides the first glimpse of Buran Ghati on your left. Spend some time at this location to capture some amazing images. You must begin your climb to Dhuna by following the shepherd track to the pass.

Day 06 – Dhunda to Munirang  Pass
We’ll be traveling for over 10-11 hours today, both rising and descending. It takes an hour to climb to the peak from the base, primarily on snow. Buran Ghati is a fantastic climb at exactly 15,000 feet. On the summit, there is a thin ledge. Even with an ice axe, the descent can be dangerous without the rope. The initial goal is to go down to the first snowfield, which is around 100 meters below the pass. You will reach the pass’s base after taking the ridge to follow the pass. You must exercise caution because the top of the ledge has a small ledge with a precipitous plunge on the opposite side.

Day 07Munirang to Barua village

On the final day of the walk, you’ll descend to Barua village, which is famed for its lush vegetation. The trail is lovely, and all the photographers will enjoy it. While descending, you’ll be astounded by the splendor of this walk. The trail winds through high-altitude pines, with a mix of other trees in the background. Along the trip, you will have the opportunity to see apricot and peach trees. As you get closer to the village, the fall escalates. In half an hour, you’ll be at the road bridge. Please make your Shimla hotel reservations as soon as possible.
